We source the finest tea leaves from small tea growers in India, including Darjeeling, which has the best quality tea in the world. It's a celebration of our rich heritage and cultural traditions. Indian tea tastes exquisite and we are so honoured to be able to serve it to you.

Yes. Most of our teas are organic, however they are not 'certified' as such. This is because most small tea growers in India cannot afford the costly certifications or lengthy process to be formally 'certified.' What's important to us is that they use farming methods and practices that are natural and that prioritize the health of our customers while also protecting the biodiversity of the tea growing regions, even if they don't hold the formal organic certification.

Tea bags are TOXIC! They are typically made from nylon, food-grade plastic, filter paper, cotton muslin, or cornstarch, and then sealed with invisible glue or some other chemical sealant. They can also be sprayed with plastic!

As soon as you pour hot water over a tea bag, it leeches billions of microplastics and toxins into your cup. And then you drink it. We want to support your health and wellness, not hinder it. Tea bags do not align with our company values or Ayurvedic philosophy. We believe food is medicine, and we really care about what our customers put in their bodies. So we won't ever serve you toxins or microplastics. Just pure, natural tea, the way it was meant to be consumed. We don't even use 'natural flavours' (which can be highly processed and contain many chemical additives), like most other tea companies do. Also, the tea in tea bags is typically left over dust and fannings, rather than high quality, whole leaves which contain so many of the beneficial properties for your health and wellness. Additionally, most tea bags are not designed to let tea leaves fully expand and bloom, depriving you of flavour and the beneficial health properties of natural tea leaves. They also create waste and a cloudy tea liquor. Who wants that?

Our loose leaf tea is of the highest, premium quality and is handcrafted in small batches. The quality of the tea that we choose allows the leaves to be reinfusible so that you can enjoy multiple cups and layers of flavour. All of the teas we source are single origin from the most potent tea growing regions in India and produce unique, complex flavours. You should also know that some of the skilled tea artisans we work with give back to the local communities by teaching women in need how to produce tea, from plucking to processing. These women belong to self-help groups and are trying to make a better life for themselves. By choosing Everyday Stillness® you are also helping to enrich the lives of these women. Thank you.

We recommend storing tea in a cool, dark, dry place away from light, heat and moisture. And always be sure to securely close the packaging (air tight) to avoid oxygen, moisture and light from getting in. This will preserve the freshness, quality and integrity of the tea leaves.

White tea is more rare and is for those with the most refined palate. It contains only the buds and young leaves of the tea plant which makes this tea more costly, and more exquisite.  It is also the least processed tea.

If you don't like a tea, please don't give up on it. It may just be the steeping conditions or a mis-step in the brewing process. Each tea is unique and we encourage you to give it a chance. But if you really don't like a tea, please send us an email and tell us why. We want to hear your feedback and help you find a tea that you will love and is best suited for your palate.
