Our Tea Story
Everyday Stillness® is a luxury wellness tea brand based in Canada, and is a purveyor of fine loose leaf teas and herbal infusions from India for the North American market. Our founder Noor is a Tea Sommelier, and our tea boutique is rooted in her Indian heritage. In India, drinking tea is a daily ritual and can be seen as a meditative, spiritual experience that invokes the stillness within.
As a young girl, Noor grew up drinking tea with her grandmother (pictured above), who believed that food is medicine. They would sit in silence together, slowly and mindfully sipping their tea. It was an every day meditative ritual that helped her discover and connect to the stillness within. During these special moments with her grandmother, there was both a togetherness and a stillness. These moments inspired Noor’s passion for tea and desire for stillness that led to the creation of the Everyday Stillness® brand.
Our teas are inspired by Noor's grandmother and the ancient Ayurvedic teachings and beliefs that food is medicine. Our teas are all natural, single origin and handcrafted in small batches. They are also all loose leaf, so that you can experience tea authentically, the way it was meant to be.
Noor fondly remembers growing up in an Indian household and what tea meant. "Chai was everything. It brought us together. It nourished us. Chai meant conversation. It meant cake or tea biscuits. It meant family time. It meant comfort. It was a ritual, a tradition and a way of life. And even in the most chaotic days, there was stillness that could be found as we sipped our tea. It was always there for us. Chai was present with every family meal. There was chai and chatter. The smell of spices. Laughter. Caring voices. Familiar touches. Smiles around the table and stillness in between each sip."

Our Philosophy
Everyday Stillness® creates a distinctly luxurious tea drinking experience that will allow you to feel the spiritual nature of sipping tea, along with its abundance of beneficial health effects. Our teas are inspired by Ayurveda (science or wisdom of life) and are designed to bring well-being, balance and stillness to your body and mind. Our teas will help you ease tension, harmonize energies and nourish your spirit. We only serve you tea in the loose leaf form, from leaves that are as close to their natural form as possible because that is the authentic way. Our teas are hand picked and packaged to preserve the quality and integrity of the tea leaves so that you can experience tea in the most authentic way. Since our philosophy is aligned with ancient Ayurvedic wisdom that food is medicine, we do not use any natural flavours* - just real ingredients from nature. We also do not believe in tea bags, so no toxins nor microplastics here! You might not know this, but tea bags are typically made from nylon, food-grade plastic, filter paper, cotton muslin, or cornstarch, and then sealed with invisible glue or some other chemical sealant. They can also be sprayed with plastic. And as soon as you pour hot water over a tea bag, it leeches billions of microplastics and toxins into your cup. We want to support your health and wellness, not hinder it. We really care about what our customers put in their bodies. So we won't ever serve you toxins or microplastics. Just pure, natural tea, the way it was meant to be consumed, so that you can transform your wellness and sip into stillness.
*According to the Environmental Working Group (EWG), "natural flavors" can contain up to 80-90% chemical additives, meaning a "natural flavor" could potentially be composed of a mixture of 70 or more different chemicals derived from sources like fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices. even though they are processed and combined in a lab to create the desired flavour profile

Our Process
We take great care in sourcing our teas and tisanes from ethical and sustainable small tea gardens in India to give you an authentic farm-to-cup experience. Our team of skilled tea tasters are trained to delight your tastebuds, ensuring that you get the best possible experience with every sip.
